Why Are We Soooo Happy Today.....

Because our Family Room is FINISHED!!! We've been in this house for a year now renting it... but since Christmas... we are now staying for good!!! This is the home we will be raising these little men in... growing old together... and making tons of memories...

So, we are ready to make it our own...

We started with the Family/ Play Room... using our Christmas money from family, we painted the walls and bought a couch....

This is the lamp that I found at Salvation Army for $8.00. I spray painted it black and whammo... just what we needed!
This is our new family snapshot that I thought captured "Chillin.'" Perfect for this room!

This is the little table I found at Habitat for Humanity... perfectly distressed already...

These are my girly, bright touches to the room... I really wanted to go with the colors of Salmon, Coral, Rust, Green, and Cream... TJ Maxx came through with the perfect pillows. The salmon and rust remind me of my moms living room... warm and cozy. The coral reminds me of Jen because she always thinks that I look great in coral!!! How do you like that girly embroidered pillow... I told the boys that is all mine!!!

This pillow is the perfect big and comfy size and it reminds me of Kelli because it matches her bedskirt!!!

I have two new quiet spots in the house now... the chaise section of the couch!!

And now the "yellow chair" in my room...

Max wanted to get in on the photo op!!! He loves the comfy ottoman!

We're also happy that we all got to go to the Tennessee Aquarium for $19.00. Gotta love teacher discount day!!!

Winter Wonderland...

So, the fun began on Thursday afternoon... Max was napping... i was sitting in the playroom enjoying my "mommy time" and the flakes began to fall. How exciting and peaceful...

Max soon woke up and I enjoyed watching the wonder in his eyes about this mysterious snow...

So... we went out to play in it... hence the previous post...

Soon... the big boys got home from school... the snow had stopped and I was bummed because I didn't get to play with all the boys in the winter wonderland... Sam assured me that it would snow more... I left to go to the Y, alone... all the boys staying home with Sam, to teach my class. An hour and a half later... I was heading home to find that our beautiful new city received a blanket of snow while I was Movin and Groovin in the Y!!! The drive was GORGEOUS heading home. Once I got home... my eyes were in heaven to see our sweet little nest glistening white! When I stepped in the house, the boys informed that they had been playing in the bountiful falling snow... and I held back my little tears because I missed it... who knew what would await us the next morning...

This was the last picture of our outdoor playtime... poor old Bo was sooo cold... he would NOT even fake a smile... I commend his honesty...

My strong and focused, Jackson... had to make a bigger and better one...

Oh... Baby Max... always wanting to be with his brothers... "just bundle me up and let me go!"

Let It Snow....

WOW! What a surprise to wake up to after nap!!!

Now, we just have to get all the dudes home from school, so we can all enjoy it!I think Max was in shock to be in the snow... speechless!!!
