Happy Easter... Happy Everyday...

Oh... Spring is here! I just forgot how beautiful this changing season is since this is only our second Spring here in Georgia. It's just breathtaking to see each day a new bud open and to hear the birds again! Max and I go for walks atleast once a day around all of the property. It's one of my favorite times of the day because we have no agenda, no time constraints, no other voices to sway us one direction or another... just me and Max doing whatever his little 2 year old eyes lead us toward... On this day... we were led to a rolling hill of daffodils. He would pick one and want me to smell it... I was sooo smitten with the moment that I tried to capture it with my own arm extended to snap the pic... got it! This picture seems so serene... which THIS moment was serene... but about 32 seconds later Max goes running down this hill, trampling into the mud at the pond edge... then while walking past the cows with a muddy 2 year old in my arms, our dog spooked the cows, causing them to run after the dog who ran to my feet causing 7 cows to charge after the dog, the mom, and the muddy baby... causing the mom to go ankle deep into the muddy pond with baby for an exit plan if the cows continued to charge... luckily not needing to go for a swim since the cows darted the opposite direction. So... momma, standing in the mud with baby, in flip flops, cursing the dogs name wishes she could snap her fingers and be home... doesn't exactly match this moment that was 1 minute and 47 seconds earlier... does it?
Oh, Easter.... have I mentioned how I LOVE being so close to family :) We were blessed to get to be with Sam's parents, his sister's precious family, and Nanny Bea, his grandmother... such a sweet, easy, cozy, and funny time...

Pop & Lali with their 6 grandboys... you'll have to come look in our Family scrapbook of the picture of Lali with the boys and all of them with their fingers in their noses... even Lali!!
Bo and Nanny Bea... she LOVES her great grandchildren... she enjoyed watching them hunt eggs and play ball from the back porch...
Lali's birthday cake with all of her boys...
Checking out the loot...
Could a gal be any more protected?? :) Melt my heart!!!
Daddy... rest... not with this crew around!!!
Kickball time!!! Pop and Aunt Amanda vs. ALL of the boys!!! Pop was not easing up on them!!!
Farmer Jeff came up the road on Murphy for a sweet Easter surprise!!
And finally.... Our littlest man got the biggest boy haircut today! My baby isn't lookin' so much like a baby anymore... eek!!!

Our Weekend at Home

There is NOTHING better than a vacation at home!!!
No packing, no planes, no possibility for disappointment...
Just relaxing and having fun at my favorite place on the planet with my favorite person on the planet!!
Sam and I spent the weekend at home... just the two of us...
Pop & Lali (Sam's parents) LOVE our boys... they are REALLY FUN grandparents that love to take the boys to the lakehouse for the weekend... a weekend full of trampoline, fishing, golf cart rides, feeding the goats, and so on, and so on...
That makes our weekend that much sweeter.. knowing that our boys are having a blast and wonderfully loved!
So, what was our plan... relax, relax, and get those projects done that we just can't do with our little dudes here!
And we.did.that!!!
We went out Friday night after Sam fished with his dad and I got a massage and pedicure... thanks Tracy!
Sam said, "Anywhere you want to eat honey!" After many ideas... we decided... Ryan's... all you can eat buffet for $8.99! Jealous, aren't ya!! Then we came home, turned on my dancin' music, and began to take our kitchen cabinet doors and handles off.

After Sam learned a few of my dances and the cabinets were dismantled... we hit the hay... getting ready for a BIG project day the next morning!
We slept in til a whopping 6:35am... but we woke up on our own time... enjoyed a cup of coffee and then hit the ground running... me, to the kitchen and Sam, to the yard.
Whatcha think...

We're having sooo much fun making this house our home... one little project at a time...
After a long day of work... we grilled out steaks, baked sweet potatoes, and enjoyed it all on our back patio... talking and eating and being silent on that beautiful evening... soon we went in, got cleaned up from our long day, curled up on the couch with a pint of Ben & Jerry's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch ice cream... the BEST... and watched a movie... shall I say fell- asleep- to- a- movie!
Woke up the next morning, chilled around the house... got our boys new discipline plan in order and allowance and chore plan re-established... now... we are ready for those sweeties to get home!
Sam headed to the lake while I taught a dance lesson and went grocery shopping...
when I got home, I opened the door and heard 5 of the sweetest voices I could ever hear...
one of the my big man who I just spent a glorious and precious weekend with and four little voices that my heart was yearning for once again...
Two in this home is really nice, but Six here is just Heaven on Earth!

Just Random Acts of... FUN!!!

Well, nothing huge and eventful... "blogworthy"... has been going on around here! Which is a good thing sometimes... leaves more room to just sit around and chat and giggle and just... chill! But a whole lotta little fun has been going on... the boys LOVE for Guitar Hero sparked their interest in learning to play a real guitar! So, last Monday... they started and LOVE IT!!! It feels so good to my heart having them learn an instrument that they can use the rest of their lives... they're so doggone cute too... watch out Jonas Brothers!
Colby dressed like Jon Bon Jovi singing Living On A Prayer
Bo just continuously makes us laugh... his dance moves are rockin'... but what makes us laugh the most... which actually isn't very good... is he's soooo grumpy sometimes! I have never been with someone who gets in such a bad mood... so, he makes us laugh then he begins to smile... maybe that's his schtick!!
Max had a playdate... with two GIRLfriends from the Y. He walked around with his hands in those little pockets KNOWING that he. was. the. stuff!!!
We got a new REFRIGERATOR!!! YAY!! With crushed ice feature... oh my heart!!! Nightly Diet Coke and crushed ice... who needs dessert!!! FYI... not our kitchen pictured... this was the home of the lady we bought it from... pics coming soon after our kitchen is done this weekend!
Yep... that's Sam... "Coach Couch got slimed!!!" Sam told the kids at school that they could slime him if they raised $4000 for the American Heart Assoc. Guess what??? They raised over $7000... they really wanted to see him slimed!
Yep... there's me... this is what I get for Dancin' so hard with my classes at the Y... torn ligament.. eek!! I'm almost heeled though... shew!!!
Oh, Max!!! He's a ball of FUN!!!!
Me, oh, my!!! Do we really have a 10 year old... yep!! And boy is he a precious doll... especially with his steak birthday dinner that he requested... our little man!!!

No crazy schedule + No overload = Random Acts of Fun!!!
Clear your schedule a little, clear your head, and have some FUN!!!!
